Got a problem with my box when I woke up this morning the fan was on full pelt even though the box was in standby and hadnt been scheduled to record anything overnight.

It was making a real noise so unplugged the box from the wall, left it a couple of mins and plugged it back into the mains but now I cant get it off standby.

Have plugged and unplugged it a few times but no change at all....

    Any ideas?

try holding your finger on the backup button.or leave it switched off for 30 mins.also it could be the viewing card.
