Streaming wirelessly from PC to TV - how easy is it?

Hi

Would anyone be able to give me any info on how easy it is to stream wirelessly from my PC to my TV? I am presuming that I would need to obtain some form of streaming device. One essential condition is the ability to support YouTube, BBC IPlayer, ITV Hub & Channel 4.

Any advice, or details on useful links, would be gratefully received.

Many thanks in anticipation.

How olds your TV and does it have any smart features built in at all? (A model number might help)

For those services you mention a Chromecast might be an option.

The older Chromecast required a PC or other device to initiate casting so you could also use a smartphone as well as your laptop,

The newer Chromecast with Google TV is actually a streaming device in its own right with its own apps and a remote but you can still use to cast to as well if you wanted.

Any particular reason to cast from PC ?

Amazon firestick has all the main streaming apps built in and comes with a handy remote.
