Streaming to KDL-32EX700 from Synology NAS + TwonkyServer

I've installed TwonkyServer 6.0.32 (Kirkwood) on my new Synology DS211j NAS and I'm trying to stream video to my Sony Bravia KDL-32EX700.
TwonkyServer is up and running, I have no problem accessing its config page from my browser. I've shared a directory on the NAS that contains video files in various formats (.avi, .mpeg., .m2ts)

Twonky lists my TV under "network players", with its correct IP address and receiver type set to "Sony Bravia".
The TV has likewise detected the TwonkyServer. It shows up with its icon in the XMB under the photo, music, and video tabs. If I run a network diagnosis on it, it checks out ok.
However, if I try to access the server from the XMB, it doesn't do anything. All I get is the rotating circle in the top corner, and after a few minutes a time-out with return to the TV programme.

Twonky can stream the files to my PC without any problems.
Synology's own Mediaserver (which I've switched off before installing Twonky) can stream some of these files to my TV (supported media types only).
I've restarted the NAS and switched the TV off and on a couple of times, all to no avail.
What am i missing?
