Streaming Hi Res Files

Over the past 6 months I have got very interested in high res files and good quality headphones. To that end I had the following set up:

High Res Downloads from HD Tracks, 24/192
Fiio X3ii
Sennheiser HDVD 800
Sennheiser HD 650

Recently though I got married which prompted a few changes to my set up and I now have the following set up

High Res Downloads from HD Tracks, 24/192
My book live NAS
Marantz NA6005 digital out to Sennheiser HDVD 800
and analogue to Marantz PM6005

The problem I have is that trying to play the 24/192 files is proving impossible No matter how I connect the NA 6005 (wired or wirelessly) it can only manage about 3 seconds of the files before breaking up.

Is this likely to be a limitation of the NA 6005 or will i likely encounter this with most/all network streamers?

is the Marantz NA6005 connected to the NAS via a cat 5/6?

I dont have issues playing files from my NAS to my NUC or squeezebox 2 floors away.

I have tried them both connected by cat 5 to the same switch and then with the nas wired and the marantz wireless. Both fail to work but the fully wired situation is much better.

I'd look at the My book live NAS if running wired is still a problem.

What music server are you using on the NAS? It may be trying to convert FLAC encoded files to PCM in realtime and its CPU isn't capable of doing that.
