Question Streaming advice/question

Good afternoon, I was after a little advice please regarding potential bang for buck improvements reference streaming.
I currently stream spotify/Mixcloud/soon to be tidal music utilising my MacBook Pro connected to CA CXA-61 by USB cable utilising the CXA-61 onboard DAC. The CA is wired to MA Bronze 6 floorstanders.

I guess my question is whether much improvements could be had from a dedicated streamer in the 5-700 pound budget i.e. Bluesound, instead of the MacBook? I understand that beauty is in the ear of the beholder but in your experiences, would I be getting 5-700 pounds worth of improvements with a streamer, or could the money be better utilised in another area e.g. DAC, or not at all?
Many thanks in advance

Others will no doubt disagree Craig, but personally I don't think you'd be getting value in terms of sound quality improvement.
You might value being able play music without the need for your laptop to be on though.
Maybe you can get to try a few different DACs to see what you think. I've found SQ differences to be very subtle - and others do agree with me on that.
I've always liked the look (if not the price) of the CXN. They seem to have (temporarily?) stopped selling the V2, but it would probably go well with your CXA-61.

Your amp has a ESS Sabre SE9010K2M DAC so you will have to go along way to better that, the Bluesound has an unspecified Burr Brown. I would be looking at upgrading your speakers as the first step.

Good afternoon

Many thanks for your replies, much appreciated. I am currently content with utilising the Macbook to stream.

I think in the future I will audition upgraded speakers and / or DAC but for now will park the idea of a specialist streamer.

best regards

Good idea. Much greater 'bang for buck' potential.
(Should point out that I've never heard your speakers - even though I used to work at Monitor Audio).
There are some great value speakers around at the moment.
