I might just be being extremely fussy, but I've noticed that when I turn the amp on it takes 4-5 seconds for any sound to come out of the unit. Is this normal?? I expected some delay but it seems like an extremely long time when you have to wait for it every time!!

think thats pretty normal for most amps...

my old Sony and new Denon both take about 5 seconds..
then click and are ready to go.

This is terrible news as you could be wasting ten seconds a day of your life.

this is a built in protection circuit so that every thing is juiced up before the power amps switch on, if it came on straight away and you had some volume on it would damage your amp/speakers.

)lol @ Ian J!! ;) :D Thanks a lot, I thought I was just being fussy but wanted to check anyhow that it was ok. Was only really curious as a friend of mine has an old Sony Home Cinema amp which comes on immediately. Cheers anyway...
