Hi Guys, I have a strange situation here, when I connected my PJ Epson tw5200 to Panasonic BDP bdt500(BDP got 2 hdmi out) and then BDP to Pioneer AVR lx86.
In this case, when the 2 hdmi cables are plugged in, I will only received stereo sound from AVR, the immediate moment PJ hdmi cable is plugged out from the BDP, I will receive DolbyDigital sound, please advise how can I correct this situation?
PS, I can't connect PJ into AVR, hdmi kept dropping, not sure why, signal does not lost when I connect direct into the BDP.
Please help..
Thank you very much

It sounds like the BDP has determined that the PJ can't decode DD sound, so it drops to use stereo output. It can't do DD on one and stereo on the other HDMI. Then when you pull the PJ connector out it reverts to DD since the AVR can handle that.

You really need to get the AVR to PJ connection working, then the BDP sends the DD sound, the AVR decodes it, and the PJ just gets on with doing the picture.
