    Hi,

    Here's a poser for you........

When I play back recorded Sky HD programmes via my Pioneer 50" plasma, I sometimes see a block of dead pixels, these dead pixels are always in the same place. This does not happen all of the time, and it never happens when viewing programmes live.

Does anyone know what the cause could be, or which component could be at fault.

    Thanks

If the screen displays with "live HD" it surely can only be a problem with the playback components in the HD box.

I've had this on ITV. On the first half of the film, recorded before the news everything was OK, then after the news - dead pixels upper center of the screen. Being ITV this obviously wasn't HD.
