Hello all, I have just returned from my uncles house after re-tuning in his TV setup and noticed the following. It seems the external aerial is somehow producing a clear goo which is very sticky. There is a small pool of this goo underneath where the aerial is connected to the video, which is happens to be a new panasonic DVD/VCR all in one model. The goo doesn't gush out, in other words I can't observe it coming from the aerial. The reason I believe the goo is coming from the aerial is because my uncle told me that this stuff appeared on his previous setup. He has since had a new TV, Video the works basically and the aerial is the only item still used from his previous setup. This does not stop the setup from working but I feel very unsure about just leaving things the way they are. The only thing I can think of is that somehow some water is getting into the aerial lead on the roof and coming down the aerial, this seems far fetched when I reflect on it. Has anyone come across this problem before? If so what did you do to fix it? Also, if I left things the way they are am I asking for trouble or should it be ok? Many thanks for any advice.
