I've had a AE700 for several months and it's great apart from the fact it seems too noisy. When I switch it on its OK but after 30 minutes to an hour it gets much louder. Even when watching a noisy movie you can hear the fan winding up. It is then really distracting. I took it back to the shop and they kept it for a week and done a couple of long run tests and couldn't reproduce the problem. So I took it back but it's the same. I finally decided to just send it back to Panasonic and see if they could find anything but before I did I tried one last test. I moved to another part of the living room and had the same problem. I then moved into the bedroom and it was fine! Ran it for 5 hours without an increase in noise, it stayed nice and quiet all the way through. So it seems to be my living room. The room is pretty big, about 8 meters by 4 metres with 4 metre high ceiling. There are two radiators, in opposite corners of the room. The PJ is nowhere near either radiator and is about 1.80M of the floor, well below the ceiling. So I don't think the radiators are the problem. The PJ is well ventilated and the room is at 'normal' room temperature. I'm mystified, why does the PJ only have a problem in my living room? Has anyone else ever seen anything similar (with a AE700 or any other PJ)? Can anyone think of what might be the problem? It's a real shame because it's pretty much ruining my PJ experience, and it doesn't seem to the fault of the PJ. Do I have to move!!?
