strange message on xbox messages

I have just got a message from gametag xbox live just saying xbox live


anyone else ever had this ?

You may have received a partial message, I received a message from Xbox Live this morning about the downtime scheduled for September 10th from 9.00GMT for 4 hours (ish!), which I guess could be the Fall Update for the Dashboard.

That's my guess.

Yep, I got the same today.

Just to add, the downtime could be for the pre-cursor to the Fall Update and not the update itself. I believe it was same last year, from memory.
