I know what the real answer to this problem is but I'd be grateful for ideas about the following:
I was given some Chinese copies of feature films. They play OK for a bit on my DMR-E55 (20 - 30mins) then pixelate and freeze. If I eject the disk, re-insert, start playing again, and fast forward to where it originally stopped, the film then plays perfectly. The disks are only single layer and the films have obviously been 'edited' to fit. Incidentally, they play perfectly on my PC.
They are going into the bin but I'm intrigued to find out what caused this problem.

Could be caused by an unbalanced disc causing "wobble" or by the disc not locating on the drive mechanism properly (centre hole dimensions not correct)
