strange dead pixel problem

hiya all


got an ipad 1 with a really strange problem and just wondering whether i should return it and all the hassle that entails.

There seems to be problem with dead pixels on the edge of the screen. A cluster of 4 then 3 then 2 then 1 on both both sides. The really strange thing is that they swap from missing left/right to top/bottom.

the pattern is this

on both sides opposite each other which then swap to the same pattern top/bottom.

any ideas?
