I have an STR-DN1050 and a BDP-S6500 connected to a Sony XBR55X900C TV. The BDP-S6500 is connected to the BD input on the DN1050. The Output A (ARC) on the 1050 is connected to the HDMI input 1 on the XBR. When I turn on the 6500, I get the blu-ray splash screen and then the no input warning on the TV. If I have a disc inserted, it will start to play the disc and everything looks ok. I just can't get the home menu of the 6500 to display on the TV. My cable hookup which is from SAT-TV on the 1050 works fine. If I remove the 1050 from the equation, the home menu will show up on the TV using the same HDMI cable that was in the output on the 1050. I have tried resetting the 6500 to factory reset, but I still can't get the home menu of the 6500 to appear going through the 1050. Any suggestions? Could it have something to do with ARC? I have a sound bar on the XBR that used the ARC HDMI on the TV. HDMI 1 is what I am using on the TV from the 1050. I have this same setup with a 1070, 6500 and an LG TV and don't have the problem with it.
