The sea may have been stormy but the weather itself was actually rather lovely, with blue skies and little to no wind.

When I drive between Lincoln and Edinburgh I often try and take a little detour off the A1 to one of the coastal villages around the borders. Mostly the trips are without and photographic achievement but this time proved fruitful. The waves were rather impressive with every 2 or 3mins a set of 3 or 4 waves would come along that were probably 6 to 8foot in height! A little scary when your only standing on an exposed rock not much above that height!

This panormama is 2 horizontally taken shots at 10mm to add a little width to the scene.

I used 2 Lee 0.9grads pulled right down to give me 6stops of ND and a CPL to darken the sky and minimise reflections off the sea. So 8 stops in total.

C&C most welcomed.

Fantastic work - my preference is definitely for the colour version.
