Short Story: Will storing (standing) a TV on its right angle for a year or so cause damage?
Longer Story:
We've an 8 year old LG Smart 3D TV that works beautifully. But we want to replace it and we've very little room.
Will be sure to safeguard the TV with wrap and foam for storage inside the box of its replacement...as long as it fits.
Aside from putting it on its right angle for over a year. The thought occurred of simply pushing it back on the table (which is actually wide enough to accommodate two tvs (one in front of the other) with maybe a few inches of space between the two. Figuring I could turn on the old one once in awhile just to warm it up and assure its continued working. I'd insert something in between as a heat shield to protect the old one.
Aesthetics don't matter here.
Thoughts appreciated. Thx
