How do you people store large quantity of dvds in one place 200+

I was thinking about the shelf kit system(4 slot ) you can get from do it all.

    Must be expandable though.

I've about 150 DVD's and I'm fast running out of space on my bookshelf. It's starting to look messy!

I'm thinking about ditching the DVD cases and storing all my discs in large capacity CD wallets which apart from looking much neater, will make browsing through my collection much easier. Just like a photo album really!

You can get 96 CD wallets for about £5 and 240 disc wallets for about £10 so its cheap too!

    Maybe something to thing about.

I've just bought a couple of 96 disc wallets from SVP for £4 each. Two discs to a page, and each sleeve has some of that soft padding in it to protect the disc. However, they're no longer on their website, so maybe I got the last couple.

I also ordered a 240 disc case for friend, It's huge! Four discs to a page, and again, padding in each sleeve. For £4.99 it was a bargain, but it was a little on the big side my tastes.

They're also doing shipping for 99p from now until it rains!

You'll probably think they're horrible looking but these store 250 DVDs each (two lines of DVDs on each shelf).

I use two of them plus a large sideboard type cabinet that holds about 450 (though I will do everything in my power to make sure I don't ever fill that cabinet!)

I built some shelves into an alcove in my cinema room. They will hold over1000 titles and cost around £80.

Likewise - I put up 8 x 3m shelves in my spare room. Each capable of holding about 160 DVDs. Only 6 and a half full at the moment but, once they are full, there is space for another couple of shelves.

Yeah, suits my little London flat perfectly though because they're very thin bookcases but very tall, so don't take up much floorspace :)

Have a look at www.boltz.com very nicely made steel racking systems which arent like Dexion or 19" rackmounts, and are expandable also.
NB free Fedex delivery from the US in 5 days on average...i have a couple of their CD and DVD racks...very happy with the service.
