Had to buy some more arcade points recently with all these good games finally appearing on XBLA, found this to be the best deal available so thought I'd post it up for you lot as I did last time(not quite as good this time around) here http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=428184&highlight=live+arcade

Anyway, best offer I found which turns out to be quite a good one if you want quite a few points, or 4200 points to be precise, is from game.net.

If buying points by CC from M$ you pay £17.00 for 2000 Points = 85p per 100 Points

    Eg. 400 Points = £3.40..........800 points = £6.80..........1200 points = £10.20

GAME.co.uk have the 2100 points cards for £17.50 but if you buy two of them you can use the £5.00 off discount code SENSE. Bringing the cards to £15.00 each.

    http://www.game.co.uk/ViewProduct.aspx?cat=11275&mid=327798

Now if you're a quidco user you can save a little extra, not the 5% for games sadly but it works out 90p quidco earnings(looking at my transaction).

So, to give you some idea of prices with the GAME point card prices(inc. the small quidco earnings):

    £14.50 for 2100 Points = 69p per 100 Points

    Eg. 400 Points = £2.76..........800 points = £5.52..........1200 points = £8.28

There you go, hope that's useful to some of you:smashin:

    Good deal that Tetlee.

Although I haven't bought as much from XBLA as I thought I would so I've still got quite a low left over from my last bulk purchace.
    :smashin:

Other than SWOS (which I'm increasingly getting worried about) and Mad Tracks I can't think of too much that I'm especially looking forward too.

Still... I'm sure I'll use the points up eventually... especially if they ever bother to bring out the video marketplace over here

I can never get quidco to track for GAME so I'll have to leave this but this does look a good deal.

Really? I've never had any problems. However, every time I order anything from quidco I always clear my cookies first.

 Mine is still not tracking after 2 days - I took delivery yesterday.

Quidco does say tracking for Game is typically "1-5 days, 2 day average."

I'll give it another couple of days and then submit a query. :thumbsdow

[UPDATE] Tracking has now started but only @ 3% (90p) - Looks like it's counted as hardware :thumbsdow

Yeah, I did actually put that in my original post as I thought some people might expect the games rate through quidco.

The penny dropped after I re-read when it tracked at 3%.

Was going by Quidco frontpage that said Game had increased to 9% - Thought the 3% was before.

Oh well, better than a poke in the eye etc..

thanks btw, still a bargin and now stocked up :smashin:

I did this the other day! Thanks for the info tet-lee!! Appreciated mate!

One gripe though, why do those tiny little cards have to come in such massive xbox 360 'game' packages

You can use the 'empty' points card box as a means of safely storing smallish photographs. Obviuosly, the boxes without the disc spindle works best.

    Don't think you'll beat £14.50 for 2100 points(when buying 2 cards including voucher code & quidco earnings):)

I'm well & truly stocked now as last night I realised I already had a 2100 point code sitting here waiting to be entered before I entered the two I bought from game:D

Can you use the SENSE code more than once? I just tried to buy yet more points and was told the promotion had ended.

Is there a new £5 code?

You can get a £5 code here:

    http://www.getupandplay.co.uk/

Click "No Purchase Necessary" and then enter your details. You will receive a code in your email. Enter this on the site and you will receive the £5 code in your email. It is a bit more hassle but does the job.

Code GNWTATH is also listed on hotukdeals but is not working for me, although it might be because I already used the Fanta promotion.

Thanks Sly but I entered the code I was sent at the GAME checkout and it said "code not recognised" :(

I'll try it again later. There might be some latency.

OK, I think I might have got the wrong end of the stick. The code they send you is for use at www.getupandplay.co.uk and then they send you a new code for use at GAME. Is that how it works? I was trying to use the GetUpAndPlay code at GAME.

If you don't fancy buying 2 cards from Game you can get 2100 points from ChoicesUK for £15.67 by using the code 5OFFWEB (5% off). You can also get another 5% off by going through Quidco which brings it down to £14.89:thumbsup:

Looks like I blew it then. I entered a fake mobile number and I guess they texted the code to that. Their website said they emailed people that submitted their codes at the website but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Nope the code should go to your email. You may have to enter the prize draw after you log into the getupandplaywebsite in order for them to send you the game voucher.
