Just purchased the dvd boxset of Stingray from Blackstar. However the first volume plays the copyright notice and the carlton logo then locks up. Volumes 2,3,4 and 5 all play without any problems.
I've been sent a replacment boxset and it has exactly the same problems. Currently using a Proline 1000 as my R2 player having a dedicated Pana A310 for R1 discs.
Anyone else having problems playing the discs
using the Proline or anyother R2 machine?

The Proline players are not the most reliable.

But it does appear to be a disc problem and Carlton are looking in to the problem, they may repress Volumes 1 and 3 as they are the ones that are playing up on a lot of players.
