Has anyone received their copy of Crouching Monkey,Hidden Banana from Movietyme yet? I'd just like to know as I've ordered numereous titles from them, but on checking my account, have had no debits for payment from them and it's been two weeks!
They have not responded to any e-mails regarding any of my orders and calling the number they've given just puts you onto an answering machine.
    What gives?

    Hi,

Just for a laugh, anyone else got any "alternatively-titled" names for "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" that they'd like to add to this thread? I offer the following:

    1) Crotchless Tights, Hidden Panties
    2) Crouching-in-agony Tiger, Hammered Dragon
    3) Crabby Tiger, Horny Dragon

Jimmy you're gonna have to bear with them. Even the Hong Kong Suppliers (Era) cannot produce the discs fast enough.

Some bugger did a large, extensive review that went around the globe... [IMG]

    I quote -

Please note there is now a 3-4 week wait on this title due to studio shortages in Hong Kong. Orders prior to this date will be shipped as soon as possible as the supply of titles from Hong Kong is not as efficient as obtaining from distributers/studios here in the US.

    Directly from MovieTyme.

Shortage in Hong Kong??? Are they sure?

My bro in HK went into HMV near Causeway Bay yesterday and they had loads??

Also, the film was not really a hit over there and sells much more on VCD.

If you can get it though - it's BRILLIANT. Watched it 3 times in 2 weeks already!

Well, I watched CTHD and I can agree with the critics (for once!) that the film is excellent. I must admit to being a lightweight though, as I watched the English-dubbed version. I will watch the subtitled version when I get the chance. Superb photography, and Chow Yun-fat is wonderful as the male lead. If you are expecting a martial arts movie, though, this is not one. Granted, the choreography is superb, when there is action, but the wire work is very subtle - almost like being in a dream.

    Top film!
