    hi,
Got my pana 37" PV500 connected via component to ES10.

Also have Sky+ AV1 connected via fully wired scart to PV500

Have AV2 from Sky+ going to AVIn in ES10 (not sure why assumed this is to backup from Sky+ to DVD?)

I have read maybe I should run scarts from Sky+ AV1 to ES10 In then view on pV500 via component? or should I run another scart to the tv?

If I run scart from sky thru the ES10 should I then scart this to the plasma or should I stick with component or have I got it set up right anyway?

The feedback I've had from folk using the Panasonic ES10 is that SKY RGB IN > ES10 YUV Out results in a softer picture than running SKY RGB direct to your PlasmaTV.

I'd suggest inserting a JS Technology 1:2 SCART splitter into your set up - allowing you to view SKY as RGB 'direct' to the PlasmaTV most of the time and when you do go to the ES10 at least your still retaining an RGB Input to the Recorder.

    Best regards

OK but I assume these both come out of scart 1 on the sky+ to retain RGB?

One issue I can see with no scart from ES10 to Plasma is the loss of functionality to record the digital freeview channels on the es10 from the plasma as any qlink facilities will be lost with simply a component connection?

    01. SKY+ TV Out (SCART RGB) to JS Technology 'Active Video Buffer'(SCART RGB).

    02. 'Active Video Buffer'(SCART RGB) - Output 01 to PV500 (SCART RGB).

    03. 'Active Video Buffer'(SCART RGB) - Output 02 to ES10 (SCART RGB).

    04. PV500 Freeview out (SCART RGB) to ES10 (SCART RGB).

    05. ES10 (YUV Out) to PV500 (YUV In)

I've never tried this but cant see why it wont work the ES10 seems to have two RGB enabled SCART sockets!

    Best regards

And presumably if I wasnt bothered about recording off sky in RGB I would run the VCR out from Sky to the ES10 as opposed to

    03. 'Active Video Buffer'(SCART RGB) - Output 02 to ES10 (SCART RGB).
