A bridged Rotel somethingorother would seem to be ideal. Or maybe a pair ?

I use Arcam power amps with my Rotel pre-amp, think you can get a P25 2 channel for that.

    Maybe worth an audition.

The Arcam P85 is the product we have in current production that more or less meets these needs (note it is 10.2 cm high inc feet).

Suggested UK retail is £519.90 and it can be upgraded to three channels for approximately another £230.

Continuous power output is typically 100WPC into 8 ohms, and something like 160 WPC into 4 ohms. It should work very nicely with your KEFs.

    HTH,

    John Dawson (Arcam)

    Thanks for the input.
I will probably look at the Arcam first.

    Duncan,

Not what you asked for but if you wanted to go nuts, stalefish is selling five Rotel RB850's which would allow you to bi-amp your front pair (with 4 x 150W) and have a spare (or a stereo amp for multiroom). I think he wants £400 (plus my commission;)). Obv. not 10cm high though, more like extra rack needed.

    Mike.
