Many moons ago I had a modest setup of an Arcam Alpha 5+, a Marantz CD63MkII and a pair of B&W 601's. I'd like to get something set up again in my new study, I have a pair of 602's (which I might decide are a bit large) but I'd love to get my hands on something similar to the Alpha 5 and Marantz, I'm fairly open to anything gfood at the right price, obviously wanting something fully working :)

If you;re looking to offload any kit please let me know :)

The echo dot definitely outputs stereo when using the jack on the back. I've read a couple of posts that day the jack needs pushing in really hard to connect properly other wise only one channel is connected hence appearing to be a mono device.
Let me do some reading up on those reevesy :)

think theres a few reviews around but these dont come up anywhere very often...there's a matching cd player which i could have got at the time but did'nt as i had the cyrus...kicked myself later.

been really happy with it myself.....only selling as i gave into corona boredom and bought an all in one quad !

I'm probably going to pass mate, I was hoping for something more akin to the Alpha Amp at about £150 and same for the CD player... if I go over £500 I start to think about buying new :)

Thank you. If the OP was interested - or anybody else - I would advertise in classifieds as per forum rules.
Maybe the OP's interest would be swayed with a price. You never know. Strange things happen.

Possibly. I’d have thought £150 plus something towards postage. Mint and boxed. seems fair. Even has original manual. May put it in Classifieds anyway.

Roy, B&W are pretty beefy speakers. Not sure how big your study is but could overwhelm the room?

I have a spare Nad C320 (minor scratches on unit), with original remote and instructions. Can be packaged up in a non original box. Fully working and very nice sounding.

All in with delivery £120

Regards.

That's a fair point, I do wonder should I swap the 602's for 601's. The room is about 3m x 3m, I'm taking over the Dining Room :)

Yeah, but that means I'm looking for speakers as well as an amp and CD player now :D

Timing is key here as at the moment I can't get the room sorted due to lockdown, so can't get the floor done etc, in a way the kit is the last bit of the job...

No worries Roy. Priorities first. I'm clearing out our study and there will be speakers, CD players and amps available. Kids have it as a games room with surround sound so I have some items surplus.

Good luck with the floor.

I have a Pioneer A300r Precision much better than an Alpha 5 imo in good condition complete with correct remote, have been using with Totem Mites with great results a £1000 pair of speakers £150 + post

Edit just noticed your Alpha 5 was a + the 300r Precision is a similar concept to that a decent amp to start with supercharged in this case by Tom Evans to be a bit of a giant killer, read the reviews it's still very highly regarded
