Ok people. Hopefully this is a simple enough question.

I have a surround amp with rears and centre speaker plugged into it. I also have a stereo amp with the fronts plugged into it. How do I connect the two amps together so that I can enjoy full surround sound again without having to plug the fronts directly into the surround amp.

My apologies if this has bene asked before but I couldn't think how to phrase the question in search and I couldn't find the answer.

    Hi Glasswalker

I think you need to connect frt l/r pre outs from av amp to l/r in on stereo amp set the volume of the stereo amp about half way and the av amp should control the volume I think.

Cheers for that. I shall give that a go when I set it all up. Just moved so that may take a while.

I am in the same situation. My new stereo amp has four sets of L+R inputs for CD etc.. Do I connect my AV amp to one of these, and not the pre-outs.
