Stereo Amp for detail

Warm sounding CD player (£1k)

Tried Manantz 6004 and its sounds like a £300 amp and lacking detail and timing compared to an 12 year old Arcam Alpha 10

Amps being considered as an Upgrade to the Alpha A10

Cyrus XP6
Roxsan Kandy K2
Audiolab 8200A

Is this the right ballpark of amps fpr home trials

Dont need power, just need detailed sound, I like the excitement of the Naim but these are beyond my budget.

+ 1 for a used Naim if you can find one at the right price.

Otherwise the obvious choice would seem a Cyrus to me, again that would need to be 2nd hand I'd imagine.

The 6004 is not even on the same playing field as those amps listed
Add the XTZ Class A100 D3 to the list.
