hi, for a while now ive been wanting to get a nice but cheap new hifi aswell as a surround sound system. but budget is/was a problem. but now i should hopefully be starting a full time job this month. i will have the money soon enough. first thing is it is for my bedroom where i have atm got a small but ok sony cmtcp11 hifi. which sounds fine in my room(aprox 12x12foot)

now i want i surround sound system for movies/xbox/ps2. and my music tastes are mainly hip-hop/rap.

so now the question is should i go for a surrond sound system for everything or a surround sound system and a hifi system? how do home cinema amps cope with music? as i guess i would use it for aprox 50-50%

i have been looking at the cambridge audio stuff in richer sounds which i really do like the look of, so is it anygood? and what would you reccomend i go for?

as for money well i was looking at £200 for speakers. £200-£300(at a push) for an amp. £200max CD player.

    what do you think?

oh and speaker cables and interconnects which are good budget ones?(£5 per/m i woul say i dunno)

    thanks
