Steelbooks in London

Just a quick post really,

I'm off to London between May 2nd and May 4th and will be looking to purchase some steelbooks from stores there. I'll be staying at a hotel in St. James's square and I believe there is an HMV and Zavvi in Oxford street, and a CeX not too far from there either. Of course I shall browse at my leisure and hope to get a bargain or two should any crop up, but I know part of this message should be taken to the classifieds but I cannot post there at this time and this is of course a shot in the dark so to speak.
While I'm on the subject, is anybody aware of any other stores or outlets that are around that do sell steelbooks?

Just putting it out there! Thanks.

:)

EDITED!

if your banned from trading in the classifieds im guessing your banned over the whole forum from trades or sales so you may want to delete parts of this thread as it could breach t&cs :)

Why would I be banned from trading there? Nobody has informed me otherwise and I've never traded there for anything. I've only ever made one 'WANTED' topic basically saying that I am after a certain steelbook that nobody replied to anyway lol.

He's not banned, he just can't have two threads open. It might be better to just edit your 'wanted' thread or go through the threads and see who lives in London. You might also benefit from checking out other 'cash converter' type shops as I'm sure there's more than just CeX.

Cool, thanks. Delete/close/remove this thread then if you like.

Btw, I only know of one thread I created there... which can be closed now.

There is no longer a Zavvi store in London im afraid, they are online only.
HMV now only have 1 store on Oxford Street, next to Bond Street Station.

I was there last week, they have plenty of the new released steelbooks, but not many bargins.

Good luck !!

The Cinema Store in Upper St. Martins Lane will most likely have some, as well as US discs too, but be prepared to pay a premium for them.

You have two CEX's not too far from each other in central London, Tottenham Court Road and Rathbone Place, Rathbone keep their steels behind the counter, usually top shelf.

Not wanting to go off topic or nowt, but I noticed my local CEX store (Southampton) have started to display their steels in behind a glass cabinet as well. There are downsides to this. Firstly, it's hard to identify any damage/imperfections. Secondly, you have to join their painfully long queues just to view them. On the plus side, it does stop people slapping them around when handling them (assuming said item was in a reasonable condition prior to being sold/traded).

If you're gonna check out Tottenham court road, you may as well walk the extra 10 minutes into Camden and check out their store by on Camden high street by Camden town tube station. Usually have a few in there. Walk to the bottom of Tottenham crt rd, it turns into Hampstead rd after the Euston rd junction, keep walking along Hampstead rd and it'll turn into Camden high street.

I'd also recommend 'The Cinema store' on Upper St Martin's lane which isn't far from Leicester sq. haven't been in for quite a while myself but drive past quite often for work. Last time I did I thought I saw a few steels on display in the window. Could have been mistaken but even if they don't, it's a store worth checking out by any film fan.
