Steam - Missing Icons

My Windows 7 64 bit updated to SP1 yesterday. Today I notice that all steam-related icons are missing.

This is true on the desktop, in the menu and in the Windows Game folder.

Any ideas - I've done a google and 'missing icons' is a common question but there aren't many sensible answers.

Cheers,

You mean like the desktop shortcut? Just go into steam folder and create a new one, right click "send to desktop create shortcut"

No all the shortcuts were there (and strangely worked) just missing the icons.

Anyway worked out the problem.

I keep my games and steam in D:\Games, keeping my C: drive small and fast for windows.

I found that d:\Games had been moved so that it was d:\another folder\Games.

It's possible that I did this by accident but I don't beleive so.

I have a sneeky feeling that the SP1 update might have done it. Windows has a folder called Games which it treats as one of its specials pseudo folders (like My Documents) and I wonder whether it objected to their being a real folder called Games in the root and moved it.

Cheers,

Nigel
