I don't use maplins much myself but the website comes in handy but the one I got was a Uniross
unregulated 3-12v switchable supply which I also use for led's in cabinets and they only cost around £4 each although I have had a couple of them faulty from new which I exchanged but in general they seem to be reliable enough so far, but as they come in a few different current ratings and being unregulated I would stick to the 300mA rating for them
and for the first question you will ask when you get one and take a look at the instructions, as polarity can go either way, the center is +ve on sideshows stuff so far including the SIM
