just what do you do ?
ive got an old pro logic amp Kenwood ka v3700 running the pc speakers
a sony 940 on the kids telly (they are only 7 and 3)
a yammy 3090 gathering dust and my new 750se sat ready for me to install all the extra speakers and plasma. Its such a shame to throw away stuff that works but has a 3090 got any value any more ?. I even considered taking it to work to run the radio through
when the plasma arrives the kids will get the sony telly (crt) and there perfect working hitachi 29" crt telly will go to the tip as most charity shops dont take electrical goods

Why not sell any unwanted gear in the classified section,i'm shure someone will want what you consider rubbish fit for the tip.

Some of the charity shops do take electrical items. Try phoning a few head offices of some of them and see if there's anyway they might come and pick it up.

A 3090 was sold on here not too long ago. As a matter of fact I've been meaning to advertise mine here... Seems such a waste having such a good amplifier collecting dust. It's a powerful amp with lots of inputs.
I told myself i would keep it for my son's first AV amp, but as he's only 18 months old it will be sooo out of date by the time he wil get round to using it.

Try your local childrens homes etc., they sometimes have an electrician on tap who will certify electrical goods for safe use. Go on, you just make a load of underpriviledged kids believe in Santa?!

    Your 3090 should fetch £150-£200

i did do a search but couldnt find any that had been for sale
god knows how much it would cost to post
oh and just for a laugh, my computer uses dm601's to make its start up and close down sound and assosiated beeps :rotfl:

well when the plasma is in ill look into moving the stuff off the bottom of the supply chain into a charity,
I once gave away 250 hewlet packard pc's to a guy called cowboy bob for a help the aged type charity, he collected them 20 at a time in a metro making 80 mile round trips.

No that was serious:) A2s go for around the £200-£225 mark, the 3090 doesn't even have DTS. Owned mine for 6 years and was lucky as I sold it for £350 18 months ago:)

I always end up passing kit on to friends ...

... mind you I have friends who do the same with me too. All being well there's a set of KEF Model 104/2's heading my way at some point.
