I've been looking forward to this as I missed it at the cinema and it arrived yesterday from play.com (Region 2). Now is it just me or is this the biggest pile of cr*p to be released in years? It was completely bereft of any comedy or action. If I hadn't wasted 14 quid on this puppy I would have switched it off halfway through.

I enjoyed the old series and was open to the idea of an updated film aiming more for the comedy side but IMHO this film has absolutely nothing to redeem it........rubbish...... I was also hoping that snoop dogg had improved over the years as I hadn't seen him in anything since "Urban Menace" but he was still awful. Whoever wrote and directed this horses arse of a film should be shot!!

Now the question is what to do with the disc.....perhaps I will give it to the mother-in-law for her birthday..... :smashin:

I haven't seen it, but it looked well dodgy from the start. I think a remake would have been OK, if it hadn't attempted to be a parody. I have to admit, I don't generally find American 'comedies' at all funny, and never usually buy them, so I won't be purchasing this.

Thought it was hilarious. Great parody with plenty of knowing nods to the original series. Thank heavens for diverse opinions. Wouldn't life be tedious if we all supported Man Utd.

Each to their own indeed. I would rather boil my genitalia in Mazola than ever watch it again. Think I will pick up the original series and cry for the good old days......

I don't want to appear anal but you boil things in water, the correct expression should be fry your genitals in Mazola. Indeed fried sweetbreads are quite a delicacy. :)

I thought it was very weak but my wife thought it was "absolute crap" You know something, for the first time in our marriage, I think she could actually be right :)

I sort of enjoyed the film, mostly for the characters, but I didn't find it in the least bit funny. The film had a huge potential to be funny, but I felt it missed the mark on nearly every single gag.

I enjoyed it at the cinema so bought hte DVD. Its by no means a wet your pants movie, but I just find it so easy to watch and entertaining throughout.

I wasn't expecting much, but it hit the spot for me...not many films make me laugh out loud, but this did....I thought there was a good chemistry between Stiller & Wilson, but the plot was well thin :)
