Starlogic Multi-region player - only £20 huh?

The 2.1 means that it is stereo only so not DD or DTS. Personally I wouldn't waste the 20 quid. Spend a bit more & get a player capable of 5.1 & of playing DivX too. Our local supermarket has some cheapo ones at just 44 Euros or about 30 pounds.

My remote broke after 2 months. If you look ont he amazon site many people have been having problems too.......... :thumbsdow

As a second player for a tv in the bedroom can't be beaten Nuff said.

I actually used one of these players thru my PJ for a short time onto a 2m screen and I was pleasantly surprised how reasonable the image was.

Not perfect but watchable.

i had one briefly and my friend has one too and even on normal tvs the lipsync is out! all the time!
the 2.1 means it has 2.1 pre-outs (i.e. it decodes stereo), but the bitstream (optical/coaxial) is still full dolby digital/dts i believe
on the plus side it has coaxial/optical/scart/composite/svideo and even component outputs!
