It starts on Friday the 15 at 8pm on Five.
Hope its is as good as the normal Stargete.
I really do wish a two part season premiere would get shown complete, doesn't help the viewers enjoyment and take on the characters with a 7 day break when there really is no need for it.
Anyhow, very enjoyable show which like many takes a while to find it's feet but if you are a fan of SG1 then you'll synch into this show very easily.
Better theme music than SG1 as well and that's saying something
Only problem is that you really need to watch the first 2 episodes of SG-1 Season 8 before Atlantis and I doubt Channel 4 are going to be running Season 8 anytime soon some events will seem out of order.
Oh dear I go and post it is on TV and forget myself.
Anyone know if it is repeated, if not can anyone fill me in on whet happed last night?
Heres a re-cap
I wont spoil it for you guys, but in my opinion it gets better and better and now that season 2 has just kiked off i have to say that its even better than SG1!
so it's not repeated?
....ARRRGH liverpools CL match clashes with wonderfalls on tues the SG:A clashes with wonderfalls on fri.
Yeah i missed the first half too, as the Mrs was watching "Gardeners World Live" or some such... and forgot it had started. No repeat?
And can anyone care to explain why watching the first 2 episodes of SG-1 Season 8 is useful? (in a non-spoiler way if poss) as i didnt watch much of SG1 at all.
Oh and is the T2 guy / Mulder X-Files replacement guy a regular or just this first pilot thing? Maybe he dies which is why is dosent seem listed as cast in the link given above?!
Well i'm gonna miss all of it , can't get channel 5 without Sky here.
You can get them on DVD.
As many of you have noticed, "Stargate Atlantis" isn't repeated on Five, which is a real shame. And, also, like many of you, I missed it. I have to say that 8pm on a Friday night, isn't the best slot to launch a new show on terrestrial, especially in the Summer months. I do hope that Five gets good ratings for it, but I think that a Saturday night showing, (also at 8pm), would have been so much better - especially with the BBC's new "Dr Who" now over-and-done-with.
You can buy all of Season 1 in the Uk, across 5 DVD's, or you can wait until September/October 2005, for a Region 2 DVD Boxed-set which should work out cheaper. The discs will be identical in content, however, to the current releases. So don't worry, if you buy them separately, or in the boxed-set.
Have you seen the UK Boxset of Atlantis listed somewhere? as I cant find anywhere listing either it or the SG-1 Season 8 Boxset.
If they stick to the previous release schedule I wouldnt expect the Boxsets to be out until February/March 2006 but the R2 Dutch Boxset of SG-1 should be out next month and Atlantis should be out in September so I will be getting them, work out £10/15 cheaper than the UK sets also
I'm bumping this if any one like me missed it, as it such a bad time and day for such a good program (comment on not seen prog ).
Robert Patrick is in only the first two episodes.
