Taken from Aint it Cool News:

    ---
This came from a source that I ABSOLUTELY TRUST, he/she/it has been providing news to AICN for years out of Lucasfilm - and he/she/it doesn't drop the ball...

There have been top secret meetings between Lucasfilm and Cartoon Network, and they are in ADVANCE DISCUSSIONS to do an immense animated series called CLONE WARS. The time frame is still being discussed as either starting the year before Episode 3 hits theaters, or the Summer of Episode 3. Lucas is negotiating for a huge 50-60 episode order!!!

This would be simply fantastic. Star Wars cannot be allowed to just end with the release of the next film. It has to carry on in some form or another, so why not a tv series. Maybe they should also do a 'real life' tv series and not just an animated one.
The sooner George Lucas is out of the picture and Star Wars is allowed to progress the better.

Au contraire, 'Star Wars' MUST be allowed to end with the release of the next film. It should have been allowed to end with the release of '...Empire...'

And what pray tell is a 'real life' 'Star Wars' TV series???

A fly on the wall documentary from The Death Star? Celebrity Big Jedi? (Text "Evict Jar Jar", etc...)
