Has anyone seen the Star Wars DVD Trilogy being sold on ebay. Apparently some of the sellers are stating that, although these DVDs are sold in high quality sleeves(!), they are digitally remastered copies with Dolby DTS 5.1 surround.
How is this possible when Lucasfilms haven't even finished making these DVDs?

Think they are copied across from the laserdisc editions

Yes I got one of these sets abroad and it is mastered from Laserdisc.

They have been going around for years, used to sell for about £100+ for the 3 films now you can pick them up for about £25, not bad quality but they will look like ****e when the Official DVDs are released but im sure it wont take them long to start selling DVD9's of them lol

I agree that the offical DVDs will blow the LD versions out of the water, still happy I have it though as it does have genuine 5.1 DD and I hear the earliest we can expect the official release would be the end of the year.

The Region 2 release should be the same day as the Region 1 release or a week later, will defently be in September though.

Can't wait! :smashin: I suspect they'll throw in extended surround mixes as well.
