Our first batch has come in and is on route to our customers... please check if you have ordered it to see if your copy is processing - if so this should hit the UK mail system tomorrow for delivery Tuesday morning.

No word yet when the bump order of our pre books will arrive in stock... will keep you posted.

I don't think MovieTyme should boast about having this already, here and on the website, as its sounds as though most orders will not ship for some time yet, mine included

Remember, JohnD started the thread, not Craig. Craig merely posted information, you have no reason to accuse Craig of boasting.

    :boring:

I think you guys do work for Movietyme, if not, sign them up

It was'nt a dig at who started or did'nt start the topic. My suggestion is merely that you should'nt advertise what does'nt fully exsist as yet.

The DVD website wars of who displays who's got what new releases first is tiresome, and most of the time a pinch of salt must be taken with what's displayed on some retailers websites.

For example it could say "First 1,000pre-orders sold out, more on the way" or something like that? C'mon, I'm not having a go at Movietyme for poor service or rips-offs or anything like that, jesus! there not the new Admit-One for christsakes.

I find that whenever anyone questions Movietyme about the mildest thing, about 20 users jump down your throat!

Really people, use Movietyme please, they are useful and very good price-wise, but for god sake keep your knickers on people.

...and yeah, I guess I am a bit miffed that I'm not on the first batch, but I can rise above it. Its behind me already, honest. I'm just not going to use any forums newgroups from tomorrow onwards, thats all

    Hi English Bob,

We were in a no win situation.. as i state on our forums we had this title moving last Wednesday. We had to decide to display it as now shipping or not... but we could not simply change people's account status to "processing" or "shipped" on a title like this without a thousand and one questions (especially as our forums were down) so only yesterday we decided, after a fair few emails, to put it on the site.

I have not changed our banners on this site, or others, for that same reason you state. Also i have tried to post on threads that start telling peeps the exact situation.

    appricatiate the reply Craig.

I understand that a boxset of this nature is hard to ship in the quantaties were talking about. But it came as a shock, because I thought it was only me and a handful of others buying this set, because everywhere you read it's "Not buying this crap" and "Lucas is having a laugh" etc. etc.

Keep us informed via these channels as to the progress of shipment Wave 2 please. ta.

One thing I've learned from all of this. The word "boast" is more offensive that fudge or bu&&er! :suicide:

    Cheers

LOL "I'm not buying that crap" is pure BS.. Everyone saying will buy it simply because it's Star Wars.. most people (me inc) aren't really bothered about a "original" version which imo isn't all that anyway..

Considering this has been on and off No 1 at Amazon DVd sales shows how many are buying this..

 Whoops, hope that sneaks past most forums watchers! I would agree with Empire and Jedi, but what was done to ANH was terrible, and for me its the best film of the series.

It would of been nice to include the orignal versions (like Speilberg did with ET), but Lucas will be Lucas

Got a copy ordered from Play.com for £28. Having seen all 3 films it's mainly the extras that I'm looking forward to. That being the case, I couldn't care less whether I get the set now or christmas. Why does everyone get so worked up about having something first!? especially something that's been on tv hundreds of times by now.

Oh please... EVERYONE knew about the changes before hand and I LOVE the way you exaaaaaaaggerate the dialogue between vader and the emperor - it makes NO change in impact, all it does really is include Ian Mcdirmid with a slight change in dialogue.
Yes I've seen the changes (several months ago), NO I do not have the trilogy.
YES I am jealous, NO I do not think you need to rub it in.
