As I said on the other thread, that was joyous and emotional to watch. Star Wars coming home finally.

I sense something. A presence I've not felt since....

      Well, that's a nice start to a Saturday :)

Memo to the bloke in the video who thought he was making a point about a "real" desert being used in this film, though: the desert in the prequels was real, too.

      Damn!

Man they must just alleviated the the most sceptical fan with this video. Come on, hands up on the day of sale to Disney, no-one thought they'd be treating it with this much respect.

Saying that, they'd have to go some to respect it less the Lucas.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much about it. But it does look very promising and true to the originals.

Lets just hope there's no mention of midi-chlorians, JarJar Stinks, trade negotiations and hopefully no smegging Ewoks either... heheh! Unless it's a flash back to how the remaining Empire forces eradicated the species for helping trash their new Death Star.

Does anyone know if the music at the start is from another film or original?

Awesome. I really hope this film lives up to the emotion it stirs each time I see a trailer!

I think the music is Mad World slowed right down on piano.

Seems originality isn't your strongest suite, in either your original post or in your response. I know they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but in your case, keep your compliments to yourself.

Eh? This is just a gentle behind-the-scenes to show how much love is going into the film, to assure fans that the Star Wars we miss is coming to us in December. It contains only the mildest of spoilerific imagery.

There have only been two trailers and they came out ages ago, months apart. Hardly milking it.

It was a joke reference to another thread saying, 'are Disney milking the star wars thing because there's gonna be a Han Solo movie'

Blimey Charlie, who stole the jam out of your donut?

Also, anyone want these toys that seemed to have been scattered on the floor surrounding what looks to be some wheels with a seat attached to them that appears to be used for carry a small child around?

Duly added. At around the bottom of the list of things I care least about, slightly above trying to win an argument on the internet.

Anyway this is ending here. Let's not turn this into some kind of The Verge comments system.

Apart from the birth of my children, I'm afraid this might just be the most emotional event of my adult life. I have a sneaky feeling, the first time I go and watch this, I'll be weeping throughout.

Lol. But it really could be that big an event.TBO I wasn't really paying much attention to the prequels, but now we all know they were God awful there is something in the air about the sequels.

I'm seriously thinking of going down to a mate in London and watching it at the BFI IMAX. Not sure the GF soon to be fiancé will be very happy about that though

Leave his family out of this.

I think there'll be a lot of grown me with 'something in their eyes' on first watch.

Funny how you can have an opinion on films that you weren't "really paying much attention to".

As one of the oldies from the seventies, I'm a little surprised that I'm not feeling the same level anticipation as so many others. I think my level of excitement is constantly being tempered by the anti-prequel vibe that keeps rearing its grotesque head over the parapet (ergo, if these films are being made to appease that small but noisy community, then they've alienated me straight away).

I showed my son the bts video last night and he wasn't remotely moved by it. I thought that was quite telling - the bts scene video is really a love letter to practical effects whereas the recent trailer (which he liked) doesn't concern itself with such matters.

      Bye then.

Watched the video again and it still gets me. The word that springs to mind is 'love'. You can really see it as being a passion project, like Lord of the Rings was. And it harkens back to those Star Wars 'making of' videos from the 80s where you see puppeteers and painters on set making magic.

I've never seen such devotion in a crew before.

Couldn't agree more. The enthusiasm and the love for this film from the cast and crew is abundantly clear and incredibly infectious. It's so refreshing to see people who care so much about Star Wars and whose careers and lives have been shaped by it involved on it. Positive waves!

Jesus you do love yourself don't you.

Since we are talking trailers for Episode 7, I would of thought someone who clearly thinks himself vastly superior me, would have figured when meaning "not really paying much attention to" was for the same appropriate time/trailers for the prequels!!!!!

I've have an opinion of the prequels and thought they were excrement. But even so my comment about Lucas come from his post treatment of IV-VII and refusal to think people shouldn't like the original cuts of the films we 1st seen but that we must love the "enhanced" versions because that was what he originally intended then to be save for the lack of technology.

But it's funny to see how you can have an issue with my opinion and yet be put off another film by other people's opinion on the prequels?!!

Oh and it's not a small, noisy community. The very fact this film being made for $100m's is being made the way it is suggests it's anything but.

If you like the prequels and don't have a problem with Lucas then that's totally fine. If you get annoyed by all the hate then either suck it up ignore it and move along. Or, act like your more than a child and rather than just go "yawn" explain why you think I'm and countless other are wrong. My response to "yawn" was in equal maturity as you's. You give a good decent response I'll do my best to give you one back.

Damn now look what you made me do. Continuing a childish argument on the Internet of all places.
