    they could of easily charged £40 + for the box set and we would all bought it.suckers !

    Ah, but when one high street chain decides to sell them for £35 or £30 the others have to compete or lose out altogether. Also they may have considered online prices too. Perhaps if they had all worked together as one single entity they could've bumped the price up. Thankfully that does'nt happen!

    I wonder what the profit margin per unit is at say £28? could be a loss leader to get more people to use their site.

    You gotta love the free market! You can charge whatever you like! But no one has to buy it!!!!!!

    Astouds me that anyone ever buys anything at HMV (except in their sales/offers) - being, as they are, a high st retailer who is never knowingly oversold - and they have the cheek to claim they are knocking GBP10 off the price, to boot.

    Cheaper at Virgin, and cheaper still at Morrisons/Safeway. And undoubtedly elsewhere, too.

    Me - I'm waiting until all the glitches and recalls are sorted out before I spring for it. I may even wait for a sale.

    I'm sure if it wasn't for the online retailers the high st chains would all be charging £40 and getting away with it!
