I've always considered myself to be a fairly knowledgable Star Wars fan, but this one quite anoraky question continues to bug...

In Ep.4, when Obi-Wan gets slain by Darth Vader, his body just 'disappears' and all thats left is his cloak. In Ep.6, when Yoda croaks it, he again just 'vanishes' beneath his bed clothes.

I always assumed this was simply a Jedi trait, so why in Ep.1 when Qui-Gon Jinn gets zapped is there still a body to cremate at the end?

Before anyone says "get a life", save it, I already know. :D

Maybe it is a trait of a Jedi Master over a Jedi Knight. Remember, Darth Vader was(is) a Jedi too.

Perhaps Liam wanted to make sure he didn't show up in II or III.

Apparently George Lucas is going to answer this question in the next movie (as well as tying up other loose ends brought up by fanatics).

As for Liam Neeson not appearing again, hmmm... we'll see.

Head over to The Force for a totally different level of obsession and nerd-speak!
