I read somewhere that they have no plans to release a Saga Boxset either this year or early next year but seeing as 2007 will be the 30th Anniversary I wouldnt be suprised if it turns up then. I also read that George Lucas had not finished making changes to the films so I wouldnt be suprised if the set contains new versions of the Originals and the Prequels.

Has he reissued Episodes I and II yet? I thought that they where going to be reissued roughly the same time as Episode III (hence why they are/where cheap).

Episodes I and II... most online stores are selling them as if they were brand new releases (ridiculous prices for discs which have been out so long).

I believe Episode 1 was withdrawn and re-released in September last year, no idea why though but Episode 2 has always been available since its release back in 2002 though it might have been difficult to find.

Phantom menace was unavailable to buy in the UK for quite a while but like Indiana Jones has said I believe that attack of the clones was never out of print. Only reason the Phantom menace was ever out of print was to keep DVD prices artificially high like Disney do by limiting a timespan you can buy buy a certain DVD.

The R3’s are slightly cheaper if you have a multi-region player.

Worth mentioning that the UK release of Attack of the Clones is cut so its best to get one of the R1/3/4 releases.

thanks for that info... do you know any sites that have more info about that, as www.dvdcompare.net did not?

I'm aware that in the cinemas what we saw of ROTS had a lot cut out and reviewers had seen longer versions of it at their screenings. I also hear that Lucas' eventual plan is to release on DVD extended versions (like LOTR) of episodes 1 - 6 around 2007

There's only about .5 of a second cut, where Jango headbutts Obi-Wan on the Kamino Landing Platform. The stupid thing is that Irish people suffer for your UK cuts. I saw the headbutt in Irish cinemas, but all R2 DVDs are cut due to the UK Censor cutting it.

silly me - I was thinking that the DVD cuts were with ROTS, not AOTC; just re-read the posts.

Anyway - does anyone have details on the content and potential cuts with various regional versions of Ep III ROTS??

Apparently there was nothing cut from ROTS, there were rumors that the digital version of the film would be longer due to Lucas having more time to perfect a digital release but I havent heard anything confirming this and I havent seen it mentioned anywhere that reviewers saw a longer cut.

Offer is gone down. The price went up just as I was buying it. 14.99 in the basket. Went to checkout - 21.99 (Euros). I contacted them and they gave it to me for 14.99. Which was nice.
