Star Trek Starship Collection.

The D is that size because of the wider saucer and that determined the size of the box. Back in issue 1 they made the saucer the width of the box and so as the length of the hull is smaller in proportion to the saucer, it is shorter. IF the XL TOS was same scale as the XL D, then the TOS one would be twice the length. The scale of the XL D and the small TOS is almost the same. (1:2,914 vs 1:2,240). Not got a pic of those 2 but here are the 2 D's.

Just got an email about the relay station. It looks like a cool model but £33 a time now for models that you can barely remember being in trek? Hmm will probably get this one cos it’s different and I like it but that might be it for me now.

Just been looking on the website as well, quite fancied getting a few ships from the universe series but not sure I will bother at £40 a pop. Unless something absolutely essential comes along.

My next order will likely be my last big one. I will order the XL NX01, Enterprise F refit and 2 Daleks that are coming out soon. It will be in June or July. If they ever do the XL 1701 A for £25, I will grab it.

I am not bothered about the Picard ships now, not even the Sirena.

The Sirena is a nice model but I did find it hard to be excited when it turned up. Just maybe feels like I’m not as invested in the series yet like I was all the other series. We’ve not seen the La sirena do anything particularly cool or significant so it’s not really cool if that makes sense. And yeah it’s overpriced

If i did get the Sirena, I think it would be the XL one at a discount.

I’m sure they will make nice models. Not sure I really want them though.

Apart from the £20 price, it is the size difference that I don't like unless they re-do a smaller Kelvin and 09 Enterprise. I can see EM doing a big pack of all the models.

I think they will be pretty small too. The Newton should be the biggest model.

I have a favour to ask on the off chance that someone might be feeling generous and is also on the long journey to build their enteprise; my uncle (who has early onset dementia) has taken to admiring my free gift mug...However I'm kind of partial to it as well. I was wondering if someone that isn't particularly attached to it would be interested in selling theirs to me so that I might give him something i know he'd enjoy, as it's his birthday tomorrow!

There is also a Tardis one. Load of crap for £100+.

I see the XL Defiant is also back in stock. I hope I can wait 2 weeks so I can add a dalek issue due out then and the Enterprise F refit.

The XL Bonchune is now out and the new £59.99 price was correct.

Looks like they have got the AWACS pod aligned this time, on the smaller one, the pod was off centre. On mine anyway.

looks good, but unless I’m missing something, where are the impulse engines?

Mine wasn't on straight so pried it off and stuck it on right, done that with a few of the models over the years.

Since the regular collection finished I haven't bought anymore be them specials or XL models, think I am done.
