If this is the wrong place, Mods, feel free to move somewhere else.

There doesn't seem to be a thread for this collection which started a month ago with the and I ended up taking over the TNG blu ray thread.

Star Trek™ The Official Starship Collection

First issue was the Enterprise D and the second was the Enterprise refit from the first 3 Trek movies.

Only the first 30 issues are known with the first 8 confirmed.

Star Trek™ The Official Starship Collection Order

The possible ship selection is also here.

Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection - Memory Alpha, the Star Trek Wiki

After being chuffed with Enterprise D, the second issue the refit is disappointing. They had problems with the colour so it is a dark grey. It should be more of a white colour. The build quality is also not good.

However. future models which will be £10 each look much better.

    Reviews from Trek Collective.

    Issue 2 Enteprise Refit - http://www.thetrekcollective.com/2013/10/review-official-starships-collection-2.html#more

Future models issue 3, 4 and 5 are the Klingon Bird of Prey, The NX01 Enterprise and a Romulan Warbird.

Issues 11 and 12 will be the USS Reliant from Wrath of Khan and the USS Thunderbird which is a Akira class starship.

A couple more pics of the Akira model. This ship was in First Contact, DS9 in Dominion/Starfleet battles and a Voyager episode.

I'll be getting the NX-01 but it'd be awesome if Doug Drexler's refit made it in there too. Beautiful ship.

The NX01 out of the first 30 is the ship I am looking forward to most.

I keep changing my mind, but I think these will be the ones I want from the full list. It is going to be a long wait for some like the Enterprise E.

My friend got issues 2 and 3 today, oddly the Bird of Prey was not sealed unlike the Enterprise refit but that had its own problems as once he took it out of the plastic both nacelles fell off

Starting to think they lured us in with the high quality Enterprise-D at a bargain price and the rest are going to be substandard quality.

I have read posts on FB that BOP for some reason was not sealed. It has to be sealed when it is in the shops.

While I was and still disappointed with the refit, I am not going to judge the rest of the collection by that one model. I am surprised that CBS signed off the model due to the build quality (most of it is plastic) and it isn't really the right colour.

Good thing about subscribing is to get in touch with Eaglesmoss and they will send another model to replace it.

I cancelled my Enterprise Refit edition because of the poor quality but if the rest are better I'll get more of them, I want about 12 of the ones announced so far.

On another topic have you seen this competion to win this Ultimate Star Trek Into Darkness Blu-ray

    The competition ends today (13/09/13)

The Bird of Prey looks excellent but the wing guns are yet again plastic so they can break off/bend. I still want it though.

I think most of the starfleet ships should be ok with quality and detail. Hopefully when the Enterprise A comes out it will better built than the refit.

Apart from the Enterprise D, I am keeping my collection in the boxes for the moment until I have somewhere to put them. I wished I had bought two D's to keep one in the box.

Here are a couple of pics I have found of the BOP. I believe it is supposed to be 5" wide. I would have preferred the wings in firing position.

What is the difference between the Enterprise refit and issue 63 Enterprise-A?

Refit was from Star Trek movies 1 to 3 and the A is from Star Trek 5 and 6.

They just reused the same model in the films but put a A on it and redid the paint due to having battle damage from Star Trek 2 and chose a different colour. The battle damage was done with stickers that damaged the model underneath.

Apparently, the A should have more detail and have the aztec that can be seen on the Reliant's saucer.

I currently have the refit as my wallpaper which shows how light grey it should be but I wished it was white like it is in the films.

Jem'hadar Attack Cruiser work in progress shot. The colours are still being worked on. The second pic shows the first attempt compared to the current version (the one at the back).

Received my package today containing issues 2 and 3 along with the free binder.

Unlike my friends Enterprise mine is intact and I can see why some are unhappy with it as compared to the Enterprise-D it is lacking in fine detail but it looks good to me as I never noticed that much fine detail on the refit in the films.

The Bird of Prey has a good level of detail and the colouring looks spot on, has a good weight to it too but the disrupters on the wing tips are quite fragile so be careful.

The binder is horrible though, it took me half an hour to get the 3 issues into it and caused some damage to them in the process :(

The refit never had much detail anyway. It is the colour that I don't like.

I went pasts a WHSmith's I haven't been in for about 5 years to see if they have it. They did and the refit looks even better than the one I have. The bit where the nacelles join was better with almost perfect fit whereas mine has bit of a gap. I do think the colour is affected by the ambient light as it also looked lighter than my one. I think I will be waiting for next Saturday before I get my BOP so I can select the best one although looking at the pics, the model looks pretty well built other than the disruptor's.

At the back they even had a couple of Enterprise D's so for £1.99 I got another one.

I am using my Star Trek Fact File binders to store the mags. There is a couple which just have starship blueprints and have some spare room.

1st Issue arrived today and I'm really happy with the model. Great detail.

Shame Issue 2's 'refit' looks a little plain in comparison, but some of the later models look really promising.

Wonder how much they are going to want for the DS9 special? as when subscribing it mentions getting the specials at a reduced price.

The rumour is about £18.99 with £17.99 for subscribers. However, they haven't decided yet. It looks pretty big for a newsagents to stock.

I will be getting the next 4 models but intend to skip the Klingon K'Tinga battlecruiser and Excelsior for a Klingon V'orcha class and Enterprise B (Excelsior refit) instead. Then go for the Defiant, Akira and Reliant.

I watched the Borg attack scene in First Contact to remind myself about the Akira and I want one of those.

I have started to sell some DVD's on ebay to pay for these models.

Ouch wasn't expecting it to be almost double the price, wonder if they will just go ahead and charge you are ask if you want it first.

As it is a special, I bet they ask first. I am hoping a £15 but it does look big.

I remember agreeing to that when subscribing but surely they can't just go and charge whatever they want for them, guess I assumed incorrectly that they would also be £9.99 each as standard with subscribers getting them for £5.99

They have said they will be more due to being bigger. I assume there is an option to opt out later if the price is too high. They would have to decide before the first special is released.

The JJ Abraham ships are also rumoured to be specials.

Is the Bird of Prey worth the £9.99 ? At £5.99 or £6.99 a model, I would get more. I suspect most people will have to selective on what they want.

The Bird of Prey definitely looks the part and I think this will be a good looking collection but I guess you need to decide for yourself whether you feel they are worth £9.99 each, personally I have no problem paying this for the iconic Trek ships like the Romulan Warbird, Voyager, Defiant, Enteprise A-E etc but when they start putting out the ship of the week models I may have to reconsider the subscription and be more selective.

Here's hoping the NX-01 is as good in person as the pics make it out.

I think the NX-01 will be the best one so far. I already know I want about 20 of them but will get others if the model are really good.

I did think I wouldn't get the Excelsior as it is too similar to the Enterprise B which I want but as you say they are both iconic ships. The Enterprise B is also likely to be one of the last so a long wait.

For some reason, I just don't like the Borg Sphere and rather wait for a Cube.

I think this is my final list of ships.

    Klingon Bird-of-Prey (19th September 2013)
    Enterprise NX-01(3rd October 2013)
    Romulan Warbird (17th October 2013)
    USS Voyager NCC-74656 (31st October 2013)
    USS Excelsior NCC-2000 (28th November 2013)***
    USS Defiant NX-74205 (12th December 2013)
    Borg Sphere (26th December 2013)
USS Reliant NCC-1864 (Miranda class) (9th January 2014)
    Akira class (23rd January 2014)
    USS Equinox NCC-72381 (6th March 2014)
    USS Dauntless NX-01-A (3rd April 2014)
    USS Stargazer NCC-2893 (1st May 2014)
    Klingon V'orcha class (15th May 2014)
    USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E (29th May 2014)
    USS Prometheus NX-59650 (24th July 2014)
    Valdore Warbird
    USS Enterprise-C
    Prototype Klingon Bird-of-Prey

They are probably from the trial last year. The plaque should come with the second delivery which is issue 4 NX01 and issue 5 Warbird.

Got the BOP but won't be seeing it until tonight.

I managed to sell supernatural S1 DVD and a wireless PC gamepad I haven't used for 10 years to pay for it. S2 and S3 will hopefully go towards the next 2 models.
