MVC have a good sale price for the Star Trek movies :)

    £8.99

Grabbed II Wrath of Khan SE and III Search for Spock SE today, they also had IV Voyage Home SE.

Plus the normal versions at £8.99:

    1 Motion Picture (Directors Edition)
    6 Undiscovered Country
    7 Generations
    8 First Contact
    9 Insurection
    Don't remember seeing 10 Nemisis i'm afraid.

NB THAT AMAZON (www.amazon.co.uk) HAVE ALL NORMAL VERSIONS AT £6.39 IN THEIR SALE AT THE MO!

Or if your after the new SE of Star Trek V Final Frontier, you can use the discount scheme to get £2.50 off at www.cd-wow.com, which means you can get it for £14.49 which is the cheapest i've found.

PS SE of Star Trek VI Undiscovered Country is due out in March.

Well it has quite a few extras so I would count it as a special edition but whether Paramount release a 2 disc set later in the year would be good to know.

Bit confused mate, are you asking if the Region 2 is 2 Discs or are you saying the Region 1 is 2 Discs?

Most peculiar, my R1 Nemisis is one disc, and certainly does not have enough extras to warrant a second disc.

For those that are interested, your local newsagents should now have a new Star Trek related Magazine called 'The Star Trek Collectors Editions'.

This has a DVD of "Star Trek: First Contact" free with it. Given its the first issue the magazine (including DVD) it's at the special introductional price of £3.99.

For those that are after the movie anyhow...probably worth a trip to your local newsagents - can't imagine you can get the title any cheaper way.

Also - can anyone tell me, I've purchased from Blockbusters what I thought was 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture (Special Edition)', but they have supplied instead 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture (The Directors Edition)'.

It's still a two disc set - does a 'Special Edition' of 'ST: The Motion Picture' exist - or is this 'it' as such?.

    Thanks

    Iain

That is all there is mate, the Directors Edition was the only version of The Motion Picture released on dvd.
