One of a very small genre of films that can genuinely move you on a variety of levels. Boasting a non blockbuster cast with stunning, gritty visuals this film is a true great.
 
I've just bought the wrong version of this Stalingrad and was quite disappointed with it.

Not realising there were different versions, I ordered the 2013 film and watched it today, but couldn't figure why I thought it was so poor considering all the positive reviews this film receives. Then I realised that there is an earlier 1999 version of the film which I have now ordered on blu ray.

I've read the 4K edition of this 1999 film doesn't have any subtitles which, if true, it disappointing
