Afternoon all, I've done the usual google search and searched on here but I'm after some good detailed pics of the above sets.

Interested in the cosmetic differences between the 3 etc.

I'm now firmly in the market for a new TV after selling my Samsung UE55D7000. A few years back I got put off plasma majorly after owning a Panasonic G10 for about 2 weeks. The SD picture quality was rubbish and the HD didn't wow me one bit either. Convince me I should go plasma rather than LCD !

I shall be thoroughly testing sets this time. Samsung 7 and 8 series LCD's always seem to look the best all rounders.

I keep reading all the reviews though and Panasonic plasma screens get raved about.

your better off taking a HD movie file (about 30-90 seconds long) on a USB stick into john lewis or a panasonic store, plugging it into a set and watching it, then doing the same on another set, or take in multiple usb sticks and compare directly, the pictures in this thread are going to show you nothing.

the quality of camera's will vary, the quality of the footage will vary, the quality of the image file will vary, the tv settings will vary (calibrated and non calibrated), etc, etc.

seriously i could show you 3 pictures of the same footage on 3 different tv's, but i take them using different camera's, in different lighting and use different image files and make the worst tv out of the lot look a lot better than the best tv out of the lot, yet it proves nothing.

if you want to know the cosmetic differences then Panasonic's own website can easily show you them

We went to John Lewis the other day and found that the settings on the GT50 and VT50's were all over the place, the 50GT50 had it's contrast on maximum. I suppose you could restore all of the factory defaults.

Like you say it's a good idea to take in an HD movie, how pathetic it was to see them only being fed an aerial feed for freeview with the tv setting's incorrectly set.
