Hey all.

First post and I must say I've been reading for some time now but never registered or posted. But cracking site with excellent review and info. Keep up the good work. :smashin:

I bought a SR308 over the weekend to replace my out dated bedroom set up.

I was todl by the sales guy that I could configure the Component IN to HDMI output for the kids Wii. I can get sound and get a blue scree, All cables are checked and also tried it into another TV and worked fine. What I suspect is I need to use the component OUT conenction to the TV. Not a major drama but just wondered if ther was something I was missing or not.

I have made sure that I have not used the HDMI input for the same input selector.
HDMI is using 2 and 3 cable and Game.
Component is using BD/DVD.
But only egttign blue screen on the BD/DVD.

Thanks and look forward to your reply.:)

The 308 doesn't convert the component signal to HDMI (the 578, 608 and up do). So yes, you unfortunately do have to connect a component cable to your tv.
