Have you tried cycling the power? Unplug the AC adapter, leave it for 20 secs or so, then reconnect.

Got it from Pc world at least a year ago, it hadnt been used for quite some timewhen i tried it recently.

Could it be the remote? is there anyway to turn it on without the remote just to try?

I had my router unplugged earlier & the display on my Classic went out when it lost it's wireless connection, perhaps that's you problem.
Maybe if you try a cable connection to your router temporarily, it might burst into life?

    Cheers, Paul

You can check any IR remote by looking at the wee emitter through a camera LCD viewfinder, pointing at the emitter and pressing some buttons can show a light at the emitter. Even phones sometimes work fine for this.

If you power cycle it, or do factory reset by power cycling and holding down the 'add' button, it the display should show the Squeezebox splash screen as it powers up.
I had a wireless SB3 that died with the same sypmtoms as you, at the time there was chatter on the Slim forum about pulling the wifi card, which I did and the sb3 sprang back into life, albeit it can now only be used wired via ethernet.
Maybe worth a try to recover your situation. You'll need a small Torx screwdriver to open the back of the case, but its all pretty simple stuff annd should be fairly obvious.

If all else fails contact Slim/Logitech and you can get it repaired in the US.

    Good luck.
