my son wanted too see this and no matter how hard i tried to talk him out of it he was adament this movie was for him. i sat down with all the other patrons and got ready with the old 3d specks. the movie started and wow the 3d really worked, a lot of the movie is set in a computer game world which was ideal for the 3d , the movie had sly stallone in probably his worse movie to date!my eyes were aching after a while and i had a blistering headache at home in the evening. so do yourself a favour and go see this movie.

Yes the glasses did have one blue and one red lens.

I took my son yesterday and I was equally amazed at the quality of the 3D at times it was amazing. The woman in front of us was forever ducking out of the way.

Forget the acting etc go see this movie it is a definate experience:clap:

When I went I was expecting the glasses to be the clear, slightly tinted type. Like the ones I used at the 3d imax in Bornemouth.

I was dissapointed when I saw it was the red and blue ones.

The colour looked all washed out and everything was out of focus. I thought it looked terrible. I know I can;t expect it to compete with an imax screen, but the quality of the 3d effects was crap.

Perhaps some people's eyes pick it up better that others

I was expecting the IMAX type glasses also and was dissapointed by the Red/Blue glasses. I have a weaker right eye and I am sure I don't get the best 3D experience because of this. The clear (slightly tinted) glasses are much better.
