Just flicked through and seen it has landed in the app section. Playing with it now. Pretty awesome good GI.
Had to reset the box first try, but now working fine. Pretty snappy. Worth the wait.

I was looking forward to this but it's pretty unusable in its current state IMO

It's *slow* - even by Tivo standards.
It only allows one user, so my wife can't see her playlists.
There's no search.. in fact no way of playing anything that isn't already setup in a playlist or in the 'whats new' list.
The playlist which the app entirely relies on is very clunky - I have over 100 playlists and it takes several minutes to find one to play. Of course, due to the other issues my wife has the opposite problem and can't play any of her music at all..
You can't background it.. which is more minor but still something that would have made it much more useful.

Had Spotify playing yesterday and found it to be very good, fair enough you can't search etc. but once playlists are loaded its good. After all its really a bonus (unless you're specifically paying for Tivo just for this).

You have to remember that those already with TiVo don't get Spotify for free. It is only those new subscribers that get it for free and this is only an introductory offer. You'll need a new paid subscription after your introductory period has expired in order to continue using the Spotify service.

TiVo doesn't mean you get Spotify for free! A Spotify premium subscription is required to use the TiVo app.

The legal stuff
Spotify mobile offer: 3-months-free Spotify Premium voucher when you take out a new Virgin Media Pay Monthly mobile contract on selected handsets. Offer only available to existing Virgin Media cable and National customers. Offer ends 31st March 2012 or whilst stocks last. Unlimited data whilst using Spotify within UK only. Voucher not for re-sale. No cash alternative. For more on Spotify Premium go to http://www.virginmedia.com/spotify

Spotify cable offer: Offer available to new XL, XXL and 100Mb customers, and to existing XL, XXL and 100Mb customers on signing up to a new 12-month contract. Free Spotify Premium period lasts six months from the date you register for it through My Virgin Media. At the end of the free period, your Spotify service will automatically downgrade to Spotify Open (an ad-supported service) unless you tell us that you wish to pay for Spotify Premium in which case the monthly payments will be added to your Virgin Media bill. (Spotify Premium usually retails for £9.99 a month.) Offer ends 31st March 2012 (or earlier if demand is very high, in which case we will advise the new closing date on http://www.virginmedia.com/spotify. You will need to accept Spotify's terms and conditions of use when you register. For details go to http://www.spotify.com/uk/legal/.

Have to agree with JT on this. :smashin:

Quite impressed.

I don't have many playlists but find it easy to move up and down. Channel Up/Down lets you scroll a page at a time which is quicker.

It's a music website which allows you to play almost anything (though I did hear a rumour that some record labels were withdrawing) online. If you have a premium account (subscription required) you can actually download the music to your mobile device to play offline.
