Splitting a house - tax questions

    Hi, I have a four bedroomed Victorian Townhouse. If I split it into 3 flats (it's my sole dwellling) will I be stung with capital gains if I split it into three flats?

    I think you probably will, and I think there's also a tax for granting a lease, so you'll probably end up paying that too.

    I would check to see if it's worth doing as around us there a glut of flats.Also the sound regs are quite expensive to do,as my friends finding out doing a convesion.
